Blaine Vinson, M.A., LPC
Licensed
Professional Counselor
Specialization
After obtaining a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, I have worked as
a Licensed Professional Counselor with a diverse population of adolescents
and adults with varied issues including drug addiction and substance abuse,
marriage and family therapy, chronic addiction, depression, self-esteem, and
personality disorders. I have also been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive
Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotion Focused Therapy(EFT). My background
includes private outpatient therapy and inpatient therapy, including drug and
substance abuse, as well as adolescent residential treatment, where I
discovered a passion for helping others discover their inner strengths,
ambition, and individuality to attain their aspirations. I also excel with treating
men’s issues including relationships, anger management, and addictions. I
use a cognitive behavioral approach to help others challenge distorted thought
processes to create lasting change and find their true identity in Christ. My
personal faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation for my counseling technique
which incorporates the integration of psychology and theology to seek the
truth of God’s promises for our lives, to bring spiritual and emotional maturity.
Furthermore, my technique is goal oriented and solution focused.
